Good morning year 10

You will have 45 minutes to write your assessment for this half term in period 4 today. ( I will be there). The task will be to write a description of a fairground.

In the assessment you will be allowed to refer to one piece of A4 which you can prepare this morning as your planning document. This should include:

     A)     A brainstorm of ideas
     B)      A decision about what mood the piece of writing will take
     C)      A decision about which tense will be used
     D)     A decision about whether you will set your description at night time or during the day (or both)
     E)      A paragraph plan with details that could be included. This should start with a bigger picture overview, then focus in on details
     F)      A list of techniques they could use
G)     Useful vocabulary/ phrases

Dictionaries and thesauruses can be collected from the shelves outside the English office and must be returned at the end of the lesson.

Do your best!
